Harrison Wood : Bassist

Harrison Wood's Sound Recording Work

"I absolutely love to do jazz, classical and acoustic recordings with good musicians".

Sound recording is very much my families profession.
I've had the very best start I could have wished for in life in respect of the recording World. I've recorded at home since I was a young boy with the very best quality equipment and have formally studied recording both at school and college where I gain a distinction in the BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology. My dad (David Wood) has over 25 years of professional experience in the music and recording industry and one of the companies he founded has had lots of hits over the years (including a number 1) so I've had a wonderful teacher.

I have a great 'Mac Pro' based professional mobile recording set up that will meet all the needs of anyone wanting to record.  I'm really keen to record everything from soloists with accompanists to instrumental ensembles and choirs and welcome the chance of giving all good local ensembles, bands and choirs in the jazz, classical and acoustic genres a price for recording.

What Can I Do For You?

- I can come to your chosen location to record; with great equipment; great microphones and a great co-engineer.
- I understand both the recording and music process  and can do all the post production of the recording.
- I'll record it, mix it, master it and supply with a finished cd master.
- I can even arrange CD duplication (and information on getting an MCPS licence) if you want.

What Can I Offer You?
Great Gear
I'm lucky, I've some wonderful top end professional recording gear that I (and my dad) own, please see the list below.
Flexibility

I can either make 'live stereo recordings' (like a concert); or 'full multi-track recordings' where there's the chance to do as many 'takes' as required and then edit them together later.
Good Musical Skills

I read musical scores fluently so my audio editing is both seamless and musical. Because of my classical music training, I also feel, and have been told that I have 'good ears'.
A Pro Post Production Set Up

I've all the facilities to do the editing, mixing and mastering at home.
I Work With Good People

I work with some really great assistant engineers.
A Great Work Ethic

I'm always well prepared, have a good attitude and understand what exactly has to happen on the day of recording both in terms of the recording process and the creation of a calm relaxing stress free vibe.
I Come To Your Chosen Location

This can be a church, school, concert hall, pub etc. Basically where ever you think we can get the best recording and where you will feel most comfortable.
