Groove Street West
I'm having great fun playing in 'Groove Street West', a very energetic and funky ten piece function band that plays Soul, Disco and Pop music for weddings, parties and functions all over the North-West of England.
'Groove Street West' caters for a clients parties needs by having one of the biggest repertoires a function band could wish for with music ranging from funky party tunes by the likes of 'Earth, Wind & Fire' and 'Jamiroquai' to classic disco tracks by 'Stevie Wonder' and 'Michael Jackson' and through to the sounds of today by 'Amy Winehouse', 'Beyonce' and beyond!
It's a great band and when we play we set a real fun atmosphere. All the members of the band are colleagues of mine at the 'Royal Northern College of Music' in Manchester which gives the band a unique professional quality as well a tight breathtaking sound.
The band comprises of a fabulous four piece horn section, great rhythm section (I'm bound to say that aren't I ;) and two top class vocalists giving us a great live sound; an advantage you certainly won't get with a DJ!
